Privacy Policy

1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how Recre8Box (“we”, “us”, the “Developer”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use the Muno Recorder mobile application (the “App”). By using the App you agree to the practices described here.
2. Data We Collect
2.1 Stored locally on your device (we do not receive)
- Audio recordings you create with the App
- Speech-to-text transcripts and your edits to them
- Subtitle styling, title cards, audio effect timelines, and other project settings
- Locally cached translation models (Apple Translation framework)
- Foundation Model session data (Apple Foundation Models, on-device)
2.2 Information sent to our servers or third-party services

2.3 We do NOT collect
- Your real name, email address, phone number, or contacts
- Audio recordings (audio never leaves your device)
- Photos, videos, or files outside what you explicitly import into the App
- Location data
- Advertising identifiers (no third-party advertising SDKs)
3. On-Device Processing
The following features run entirely on your device using Apple frameworks and do not transmit your content to our servers:
- Speech-to-Text: Apple
SpeechAnalyzer(iOS 26+) - Subtitle Translation: Apple Translation framework (downloaded language models)
- AI Subtitle Refinement & Title Generation: Apple Foundation Models (on-device LLM, requires Apple Intelligence)
- Sound Tag Detection: Apple SoundAnalysis
- Audio Effects, Video Composition, Watermark, Export: AVFoundation / Metal on-device
Apple may download or update its on-device models from Apple servers as part of its frameworks; the Developer does not receive a copy of these.
4. Permissions
- Microphone: Required to record audio.
- Photo Library (write): Optional, only to save exported videos to your library.
- Photo Library (read) and Files: Optional, only when you import a video or background image you select.
- iCloud (CloudKit): Optional. Used only when you enable Pro iCloud Backup.
- Notifications: Optional. Used for export completion and Live Activity updates.
5. Data Retention & Deletion
- Local data: Remains on your device until you delete the project or uninstall the App.
- iCloud backups: Stored in your private iCloud container. You can delete via Settings → iCloud Storage at any time.
- Anonymous user ID: Retained while you use the App. Reset by reinstalling the App on a new device.
- Search server logs: Subtitle text segments sent to the search server are retained for up to 30 days for service-quality analysis, then deleted. They are not linked to your identity.
6. Third-Party Services
The App relies on the following third-party services. Each has its own privacy policy:
- Apple App Store, iCloud, Speech, Translation, Foundation Models — apple.com/legal/privacy
- Google Play Billing, Firebase — policies.google.com/privacy
- RevenueCat — revenuecat.com/privacy
- Cloudflare — cloudflare.com/privacypolicy
- Voyage AI (image embedding, server-side only) — voyageai.com/privacy
7. Children’s Privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.
8. International Transfers
The Muno Search Server is hosted in Europe. Other third-party services (Apple, Google, RevenueCat, Cloudflare) may process data in multiple jurisdictions. By using the App you consent to the transfer of data to these jurisdictions.
9. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect data in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest. However, no system is 100% secure. You acknowledge that you provide data at your own risk.
10. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal data, and to object or withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, contact us at the address below.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified through the App or on this page. Your continued use after such changes constitutes acceptance.
